Kinktober: a 31-day kink challenge
One small prompt a day through October, starting with talking and building slowly to a scene you plan together. Tick off each day as you go. A new day unlocks every day, missed days stay open, and you can start your own 31 days on any date.
Ground rules before you play
- • Any prompt can be skipped, no explanation needed.
- • Agree a safeword that ends the game straight away.
- • Not sure what's on the table? Compare your yes/no/maybe lists first.
- • Everything runs in your browser. Nothing you choose is sent to us.

How the month is built
- Days 1–7: Talk. Set things up: safewords, limits, curiosities.
- Days 8–14: Senses. Slow, sensory and low-intensity.
- Days 15–21: Power. Gentle power exchange, fully negotiated.
- Days 22–28: Play. Games, roleplay between adults, a little impact.
- Days 29–31: Finale. Plan it, try it, look back.
Every week ends with a check-in, because the point isn't to tick boxes. It's to find out what you both enjoy. If a prompt doesn't suit you, swap it for something from 30 kinky sex ideas or tonight's dare on the games page. For Halloween night itself, try our kinky Halloween ideas. Come December, there's a 24-day kinky advent calendar too.
Before you start
New to all of this? Read the beginner's guide to BDSM first. It covers consent, limits and aftercare in more depth. If anything ever feels wrong, stop, check in, and look after each other. Talking about it is always part of the challenge.
Frequently asked questions
- What is Kinktober?
- Kinktober is a month-long October challenge. Ours gives you one small, beginner-friendly prompt a day for 31 days, from picking a safeword on day 1 to planning and trying a short scene in the final week. It's built around talking first and going slowly.
- Do we have to do every day?
- No. Skip anything, do days out of order, or take a week to do one. Missed days stay open. The only rule is that nothing happens without both of you agreeing, and either of you can stop at any time.
- Can I do Kinktober on my own?
- Yes. Most days work solo: read the linked guide, think about your answers, and note anything you'd like to bring to a future partner. Skip the partner-only days or save them for later.
- Is my progress saved?
- Only in your browser on this device. Nothing is sent to us. Clearing your browser data, or switching devices, starts you fresh.
- Can we do it outside October?
- Yes. In October each day unlocks on its date; the rest of the year every day is open. Either way, you can tap 'Start my 31 days today' to begin at day 1 on any date, with a new day unlocking each day from then.
- We're starting late. Is it too late?
- Not at all. Missed days stay open, so you can catch up, and the first week is mostly talking. Or tap 'Start my 31 days today' and do the whole challenge at a day a time from now, even if it runs into November.
