Frequently asked questions
- How do I know if I am ready for my first BDSM scene?
- You're ready when the basics are in place: an agreed safeword, a conversation about what you're both curious about, known hard limits, a rough plan, an aftercare plan, any relevant health issues shared, being sober, and both feeling free to stop. This checklist walks you through each one.
- What should a first scene look like?
- Short, simple and clearly agreed: one or two low-intensity activities you both marked yes, frequent check-ins, and aftercare at the end. Many people start with something like a blindfold and light sensation play.
- What if my partner and I get different results?
- Then take it at the pace of whoever is less ready. Go through the tips together. Most of them are a conversation, not homework.
- Are my answers saved or sent anywhere?
- No. The checklist runs entirely in your browser, and nothing you choose is sent to us or stored.
- Is it normal to feel nervous?
- Yes. Nerves are normal and a good reason to keep the first scene short and simple. If nervousness turns into feeling pressured, though, that's a sign to slow down and talk.
